Biography

 

Hoe Ping Chian Cherry, born in 1995, graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore in 2017 with a Diploma In Fine Arts - Chinese Ink Painting.

Cherry likes to explore the effects of Chinese ink and displays the energy of movement in her brush strokes, she likes to include the split brush technique (破笔) in her artworks. "Even the simplest brush stroke can encompass intricate detail."

Cherry likes to show the possibilities of what Chinese ink can create and aims to get viewers to take time to observe and understand.

She also explores into other forms of art such as Digital Art, Western, and crafts.
